Memory Foam Dog Bed - Is it Worth the Money?


Memory foam, as you may or may not know, is meant to be very easy on the body. It does a very good job of supporting your body and providing much needed relief to sufferers of pain, arthritis, etc. Memory foam beds for humans can cost in upwards of $3,000.00. Why then would they make a memory foam pet bed? Simple, many dogs, especially larger breed dogs, suffer the same pains that humans do.

Dogs of all shapes and sizes can benefit from a memory foam pet bed. Canines with hip dysplasia, arthritis, or other joint issues can rest comfortably on a foam bed. Why? Because those fancy and expensive beds can relieve pressure points and increase comfort. You don't think you are the only one with joint pains do you? Now this big question is this: What do they cost and are they worth the money? Well, the answer to this question is up to the individual buyer who also happens to be a pet owner.

Memory foam pet beds can range from $69.00 and up to $300.00 or more. The more expensive models have a higher quality foam, headrests, etc. Most products come with removable liners that are both washable and hypoallergenic - real bonuses. Further, these beds are mold and mildew resistant. Oh, and lets not forget that if you are a real spoiler of your favorite dog, that you can also buy a heated memory foam pet bed. Wow, my own bed isn't even heated!

When you go to purchase your memory foam pet bed you will have at least four major brands to choose from. A company by the name of "Buddy Beds" seems to have the lowest cost models and at the higher end of the range, Orvis makes the pricey beds. One thing is for sure, when you go shopping you will have quite a selection. Don't think that this will be a simple and mindless purchase. You are going to need to make some decisions!
