Restonic is in the top ten of mattress companies in the U.S. It makes a variety of different types of mattresses from the traditional inner spring through to memory foam mattresses to even magnetic mattress. Here are some reviews of the different Restonic mattresses.
The ComfortCare range of mattress is a traditional inner spring mattress. The company uses - like every other company - a plethora of jingoistic terms to promote its products. The first such term is the 'Marvelous Middle'. Basically, the middle has more springs that are strategically placed to give the sleeper a better night's sleep. This is old hat. Manufacturers have been building mattresses with better support in the middle since they first began making mattresses. Again, we're also told about SpiraLok Technology and how it reduces motion transfer. Again, it's a piece of wire that is wound around the top of each coil. Many manufacturers employ something similar. And, with any inner spring mattresses you're always going to experience some motion transference no matter who made it. Finally, each Restonic mattress in the ComfortCare range comes with SuperEdge Plus Technology. This is just a piece of high density foam wrapped around the edge of the mattress; its job is to encase the springs. I don't know of any manufacturer of high quality mattresses that does not do this.
So, how does the ComfortCare mattress rate? Well, its reviews are generally favorable but many seem to prefer a Sealy Posturepedic, but the Restonic is a lot cheaper.
Restonic also make air mattresses. They're cheap and often used in trailers and camper vans. If you really are interested in a good quality air bed mattress then you'd be better advised to look at a Simmons Luxaire.
The Providence is a latex mattress from Restonic. The company buys in its latex from a company called Latex Foam International. However, Restonic isn't the only company that buys in its latex from Latex Foam International; other top brands include the Sealy SpringFree, Simmons BeautyRest, Serta Perfect Day, Stearns and Foster to name but a few. So, if you are thinking of buying a latex mattress from any of these companies you will be buying the same product. Each company, will offer different takes on it though, whether it's firmness, damask coverings or some other slick sales pitch. The Restonic mattress will be of the same quality as any of them so base your decision on price and forget about the sales pitch.
The memory foam mattress is in vogue right now so it isn't surprising Restonic has its own version called the HealthRest. You get a high density foam base (non memory foam), a layer of convoluted foam (to dissipate body heat) and a final top layer of memory foam. The configuration of each of these will depend on the model you choose. The overall opinion of the Restonic memory foam mattress is that it sleeps a little on the soft side and can develop depressions fairly quickly. However, this is a general problem with any memory foam mattress.
Restonic make mattresses that are probably as good as any of the big players, especially its inner spring and latex versions. Consumer reviews generally give a pretty good ranking to a Restonic mattress, especially the ComfortCare range.
